The Dauntless has controls for the rear gunner - a pair of permanently attached rudder pedals and a control knob hidden on the port side until needed. See:

Juan Jimenez is correct that it is very difficult to control, due to the armor plate for the pilot and the radios directly in front of the gunner. The gunner is always in control of the radio, but has no access to the tail hook, engine control beyond the throttle, or anything else more necessary to land the ship safely.
